For the first time ever online, William Sikora’s thriller Spirits of the Pines will be making it’s online debut on BTV this month, for FREE.   The films were released in 2005 and 2006 and split into two parts that tell one whole story.  Both films will be uploaded to the channel where anyone can watch them.  “I am pretty excited to get the films out to the world, it will still be available on DVD with many bonus features, but having it accessible online for anyone to see is special to me!”  Director William Sikora.

Deep in the heart of the Pinelands, lies a dark past… That is the story behind William Sikora’s dark thriller starring Ally Iseman and Todd Ryan Jones. A woman discovers a connection to a spirit of the past and tries to help her when things go wrong.

The films celebrate the Halloween festivities BTV has every year.   Look for the first film to premiere this week.

Steve Jobs Passes Away

0 Comments 05 October 2011

We say goodbye to a genius, someone who changed our world and how we connect and live our daily lives. Just a video sharing my thoughts on the matter and how Steve changed my life. Rest in peace, my condolences from Gizmo to the Jobs’ family and all of Apple for this tragic loss.

“Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being,” Tim Cook, Jobs’ successor at Apple, wrote to employees on Wednesday. “Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.”

I am upset that I forgot to mention Steve and Pixar and how he pretty much made it happen!

In 1986, Jobs purchased the company that would later be called Pixar from Lucasfilm for $10 million. He invested $5 million into the company as capital.

That means that on a basic level, Steve Jobs is responsible for some of the best animated films of the past decade and beyond — from Toy Story to Cars. Jobs’ reach extends even beyond the massive innovations he made in the personal computing and mobile technology fields.

Disney Pixar CEO John Lasseter and Ed Catmull, President of Walt Disney Pixar Animation Studios have made a joint statement on Jobs’ passing on the Disney Pixar Facebook page:

Steve Jobs was an extraordinary visionary, our very dear friend and the guiding light of the Pixar family. He saw the potential of what Pixar could be before the rest of us, and beyond what anyone ever imagined. Steve took a chance on us and believed in our crazy dream of making computer animated films; the one thing he always said was to simply ‘make it great.’ He is why Pixar turned out the way we did and his strength, integrity and love of life has made us all better people. He will forever be a part of Pixar’s DNA. Our hearts go out to his wife Laurene and their children during this incredibly difficult time.
