Next year, fan favorites Glee and American Idol will be getting some serious upgrades from Fox.  Glee has won the coveted post-Superbowl slot, despite not exactly being fodder for football watchers.  We can make Gleeks out of them yet!

Idol is also getting a change for the better after this season wraps up.  The Tuesday night performance shows will now run an hour and a half, while the Wednesday results show will only be 30 minutes.  That means A) more songs and performances from the idols and B) less Ryan Seacrest jerking us around before every commercial break and less Ford truck commercials.

I for one heartily agree with both of these time re-distributions.
