Dreamworks Rips Off Pixar in ‘Shrek Forever After’

0 Comments 25 March 2010

Dreamworks has always been the animation studio to make sub-par movies.  I was really never a fan of any of them.  They lack in imagination, story telling, and character.  Pixar on the other hand has worked hard over the past decade to create compelling characters, heartfelt stories, and moments you’ll never forget.

While Dreamworks pumps out 2-3 animated movies a year, Pixar remains steady with just one.  Pixar wins more awards while Dreamworks quality just goes down the drain.  Now onto the topic!  Dreamworks’ new Shrek movie features Rumplestiltzkin the new bad guy in the fourth film…but doesn’t he seem all too familiar looking?  Remember Syndrome from THE INCREDIBLES?  A movie that was released in 2004?  Syndrome was the small, weak, villain who plays a major role in the film…just as Rumplestiltzkin will be the villain playing the main bad guy role in Shrek 4.

Now I’m no fool but this is just a blatant rip off of a Pixar character!  Just look at the resemblance.  They could’ve made his hair any other color, but they made it the same exact shade of red!

Dreamworks, when are you gonna focus on real quality entertainment?
