Simon Cowell has labelled his new girlfriend “the one” – and is eager to settle down and start a family, according to a U.K. report.

The American Idol judge sparked rumours he was engaged to latest lover Mezhgan Hussainy after the make-up artist was snapped sporting a huge diamond band on her ring finger following an intimate Valentine’s Day date on Sunday.

And it seems Cowell is ready for family life aged 50, according to Britain’s The Sun newspaper.

The publication claims he tells Piers Morgan in an exclusive pre-recorded TV interview, “I think she’s the one – she’s very special.

“I think I need to have little Simons around.”

Cowell split from Terri Seymour 18 months ago, and has previously dated 1980s pop-star Sinitta, who has remained one of his closest pals.
