It is being reported by multiple media outlets Rude Boy will be the final single off of Rihanna’s latest album, Rated R. As for what to expect on the new album, “Ri wants to get across that she’s moved on from the dark period she was in when recording the Rated R songs. So expect more upbeat, dance tunes, similar to Don’t Stop the Music and Disturbia. That’s why she wants to get the first track out over the summer, she thinks she’s come up with another summer anthem like Umbrella was.”

David Guetta and Ne-Yo have already been confirmed to be assisting Rihanna on new music, and RiRi herself told MTV Korea last week, “I really like the bottom, the grime of it. But if I were to combine that with more energetic, up-tempo pop records, then I think that will be a happy marriage. And that’s where we’ll probably go next” when asked about the music she would want to do in the future.

Rated R was only released in November of last year, but releasing a new album so soon wouldn’t be a first for her since Rihanna’s first three albums all came out within about a year of each other. Thoughts?  Are you excited for new RiRi so soon?
