Following the death of fashion designer Alexander McQueen, no one could find a trace of the creative genius on Twitter. It turns out McQueen’s account was deleted after news of his suicide broke. New York Magazine reveals the dark tweets leading up to his untimely death.
It hadn’t been an easy February for McQueen. His mother passed away on February 2nd, leaving him distraught with grief. That combined with his penchant for the dark and gothic made for some very strange tweets.
February 3rd at 11:46:
“i’m letting my followers know the my mother passed away yesterday if it she had not me nor would you RIP mumxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx”
11:47 the same day:

January 28th at 10:01 a.m. (before his mother’s passing):

February 1st, 10:46 a.m.:
