Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe has withdrawn from the party circuit – because he is disgusted by freeloading minor celebrities.

The 20 year old admits he enjoys partying at A-list events in London, but often finds himself mixed up with reality TV stars and wannabes while he is out.

And Radcliffe is determined to distance himself from lesser-known stars who have made a living without any discernible talent.

He says, "I don’t get involved with drinking or partying any more. I hate celebrity culture but I’m unavoidably a part of it. There are people who happen to be celebrities as a by-product of what they do. (But there are others who) don’t want to work, have no interests, no passions, nothing and yet seem to be held up on pedestals. I don’t think they should be trying to push themselves onto us. It does annoy me, but of course, I’m part of it."
